Hello Charleston

We left Saint Augustine at 8 am Sat June 2nd. Had a two day nice weather window. Motored for the first few hrs then motored sailed, got surprised by 23 knts in the middle of the night, made for a exciting night. We averaged 7.5 knots, we did 225 miles in 31 hrs. Arrived at 230pm on Sunday. Washed the boat and took a water taxi for old charleston and had a gear low country meal at pookies porch. Next day we did the ft Sumtner tour and the Yorktown aircraft carrier that's parked next to our marina. Hope to leave here after 3 days of bad weather, thursday should be our departure day.

This really is the. "0ldest city". Every where you look there are great pictures just asking to be taken. It's really cool to see these historical markers talking about this building or that street dating back to the 1500's! It's the closest thing to going to Europe ! Below are some more pics

Beryl begone

Well we sailed into a almost hurricane, Beryl. Left the boat on a mooring ball and took a motel room. Luckily the boat was fine and we will get back our trek up to the Chessepeake.

We prepared the boat by taking off everything we could. See below

Saint Augustine

Had some challenges getting here from Daytona, we ran aground and that caused us to arrive at the mooring field after dark which due to the wind(20mph) and the current(5 knts) caused us to take a slip.

This morning during slack tide we moved to a mooring ball.

We got our bikes to the marina and started sight seeing. We really like this town, lots of charm. It's the oldest town in America. Pics below

Titusville

Well we are in Titusville on a mooring ball at the municipal marina. We can sit in the cockpit and see the Kennedy spa center ! And early tomorrow morning the are having a space shot! Wow should be spectacular . Below are some shots from the trip from fr pierce. We spent the night on the way up at a anchorage called dragon point!

North palm to Fort Pierce

Left at first light from old port cove, had our first taste of Florida ICW today. Great trip, 6 bascule bridges, 3 fixed. Took us seven easy hours. Some pics below
